What made you want to start making jewelry?

My sister took me to a place where they sold beads and gave classes on how to make jewelry.  The employee had me to select the beads I wanted for a pair of earrings.  They put it together in front of me.  I said to my sister I can do that!  And that's how it started.

Do you have a fond memory of making necklaces or earrings that stands out to you?

As a  volunteer at the Bead Museum on Saturdays,  I would watch these older women (5 of them) meet on Saturdays and sit around the table and make necklaces.  They would feed off one another as far as ideas.  Most importantly, they were the most beautiful necklaces ever.  I learned a lot by observing.

How do you feel when you make each custom piece?

When I am making my jewelry, I feel blessed by this gift God has given me.  Once my designs are completed, I am in awe of the outcome because of what gift is in my hands.  I really feel blessed when I see others admire my gift enough to purchase my designs.  It brings joy to my heart and soul.
